So you’ve been living a fairly active and productive life. Good health so far. You’ve saved up to enjoy the outdoorsy RVing lifestyle and you’re ready to spend some quality time exploring more of the world around you. Everything will be fine “as long as you’ve got your health.”

"The secret to old age? Keep having birthdays!"
- George Burns, Comedian

And that’s the problem with life. Without good physical vitality our entire world can come crashing down and the very things we had so planned for may never come to pass. If we neglect looking after our bodies both nutritionally and exercise-wise, we run a greater risk of short-changing our opportunities to really live!

So, on this page of the web site we’d like to give you a “heads up” on some ideas to minimize your risks and maximize your enjoyment of your remaining years … especially those years your still wish to get out in your RV. Yes, there will come a time when you “hang it up” but lets see if we can extend your years of enjoyment.

First and foremost you have to want to be healthy. If you don’t, read no further. The following information will be of no value to you.

Next you have to continue the good exercises and nutrition and supplements you’ve already learned about and are practicing. Then keep learning! If you have procrastinated, procrastinate no more.

The internet can be a valuable resource as can be many periodicals available at your local bookstores and newsstands.

One of the highest recommended books that we can endorse is called The Seven Pillars of Health by Dr. Don Colbert. This is a book that you should read over a period of 50 days. Each week is a new subject (Pillar). Each day gives you plenty to ponder and act upon. Each reading takes only a few minutes (except for a couple of longer chapters). You can find the book through our LoveRVing.com Bookstore in the RVing Lifestyle category.

Have you struggled with being overweight and totally "fed up" with all those fad diets "that don't work"? Believe me, there's thousands of them out there! We've discovered a most helpful and practical book called "The F-Factor Diet." The "F' stands for that naughty little word "fiber." Decrying fad diets, board-certified dietician Tanya Zuckerbrot devised a diet that emphasizes fiber consumption without worrying much about carbs, fats or calories. The key, she asserts, is combining fiber with lean protein at every meal. Besides all the health benefits fiber provides-discussed here at length-an additional benefit is that, since fibrous foods are more filling, diners feel full more quickly and are likely to eat less. Be sure to read the foundational chapters 3 - 5 before even starting....then success will come! This book is also available through our LoveRVing.com Bookstore in the RVing Lifestyle category.
